Accounting Associate (Investment Firm)

Company and Job Overview

JAC's client is a foreign Investment Firm to look for an Accounting Associate with competitive package.

Job Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping for management company, advisory entities and the holding company based in various jurisdictions: Hong Kong, Japan and other countries

• Learn the financial rules from Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and apply to company as appropriate.

• Receive, review, refute or confirm expenses for: research expenses, company expenses, employee expenses and fund expenses.

• Participate in the payments process.

• Assist COO & Accounting Analyst to answer questions from the corporate company’s auditors. 

• Test software to add efficiency to corporate company’s processes.

• Assist Accounting Analyst and COO with corporate tax work and legal

  structuring research, review for possible corporate expansion (i.e.: Vietnam, etc.).

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Accounting (or the equivalent).

• Experience with U.S. GAAP or IFRS.

• Experience with bookkeeping/audit for corporate service company or a financial services company (2 years minimum).

• Advanced English (minimum: IELTS 6.5 / TOEIC 945 / TOEFL iBT 90, or equivalent).

• Optional
  - CPA (or its equivalent) is preferred but not required.
  - A candidate from a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred but not required.
  - Experience with HF/PE structures is a preferred but not required.
